Enabling Fast and Accurate mmWave Measurements and Signal Transfer with Contactless Transmission

Introducing the fundamentals of “gap waveguides” and how they work.

In this session, we will focus on the properties of contactless signal transfer and how that can be used both in apparatus design to facilitate easier integration of sub parts as well as in testing. In the design part we explore what performance can be achieved with contactless transmission. Simulations and real-world examples of performance and what tolerances that can be allowed. Example use cases will be showed such as PCB interfacing and key benefits of the contactless technology will be shown. For testing purposes, examples will be shown how the technology can be used for contactless testing taking out the variability between measurements and allowing for non-wear rapid testing in high volume production.
